Homefront
Saturday morning. October 7th. Seven a.m. Rivkaleh and Eliyahu watch the television. The news announces that a war has broken out. The elderly Eliyahu is determined to set out for the front and fight for his home; Rivkaleh insists they must move into assisted living. This is the story of a loving couple whose wish to contribute from the home front meets again and again the limits of age and clarity of mind. In a spirit of the absurd they try to decipher reality from their living room, clinging to imagination and love in the face of loss and missed time.
"A fascinating and touching theatrical work, thanks to the precise text, sensitive direction and excellent acting. Homefront is living proof that great dramas of our lives also happen at home, also in advanced age."
